Case Study: Lawn House
Case study Lawn House
Location: Burbage, Leicestershire
Contractors: Irvine Whitlock
Formpave’s Aquaflow sustainable urban drainage system has been used to pave the driveway of a ground-breaking Code Level 6 ecohouse in Burbage, Leicestershire.
Lawn House is the first private development in the UK to be built using prefabricated brick and block cavity walls and features a range of cutting edge sustainable heating and energy that have helped it gain Code Level 6 status.
The drive-way is paved using Formpave Aquaflow sustainable urban drainage system (SUDS), which prevents run-off and flooding from the paved area and collects and filters rainwater for later use.
It was the perfect choice and the system used Aquapave charcoal permeable paving to complement the red brick of the house and provide an attractive finish.
