Case study Woodberry Down Regeneration

As part of a major regeneration project in North London, Bison Precast supplied hundreds of concrete columns for three high-rise residential apartment buildings built by Landmark Construction.

Once complete, this urgently-needed development will provide 5,500 new homes, set in 64 acres overlooking lovely, natural surroundings, including Finsbury Park and two reservoirs.

The three buildings, constructed using more than 500 precast columns, are part of the Park Collection, which includes luxury studios and penthouse apartments available to purchase from Berkley Homes.

Jonathan Fordham, Project Manager for Landmark Construction, said, “The team at Bison Precast provided a good quality service, and the technical background was spot on. These were standard precast columns for this type of high-rise, delivered over a period of months as the work progressed.

“The deliveries were very efficient, bringing in two floors worth of columns at a time, sometimes with just 24 hours’ notice depending on the status of the job. This helped us keep to schedule, especially during the early stages of the work when there was little storage space available on site.

“We’re continually working with precast concrete as it is the most efficient way of constructing this type of project and would certainly work with Bison Precast again based on their good work here.”
